The Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence was founded in 1992 to recognize excellence in design, innovation and customer service within the shooting sports market.
The voting Academy is comprised of industry leaders representing every level of the shooting sports business. They include a balanced group of corporate executives, outdoor writers and store front retailers.
Each year they are asked to select nominees and award recipients in all categories. Their selections represent the best of the best, setting the highest standard of excellence in the industry. Click here to view the 2007 award winners.
Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence
Member Eligibility
Membership is open to select individuals currently doing business within the shooting sports industry, including: retail store owners/managers; manufacturing/distributing executives; and industry writers.
No more than two individuals per business can be active, voting members. Advertising or public relations agency representatives are not eligible to join the Academy of Excellence.
Immediate Firearms Marketing Group/Publishers’ Development Corp. employees or sales representatives (excluding contributing writers and field editors) are not eligible to become active, voting Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence members.
Membership and voting privileges may be revoked without notice at anytime at the discretion of Academy organizers to maintain the integrity of the award selection process.
