Ruger has partnered with Federal Premium to introduce a new revolver cartridge designed to deliver .357 Magnum ballistics out of a .32-caliber platform, with 20-percent less recoil. Ruger is offering the .327 Federal Magnum in the SP101 double-action revolver with a 3 1/16" barrel and six-shot cylinder. The satin-finish stainless steel gun features an adjustable rear sight and one-piece rubber grip with synthetic inserts.

The .327 Federal Magnum ammunition will be available in three loads: Federal Premium 85-grain Hydra-Shok JHP, American Eagle 100-grain SP and Speer 115-grain Gold Dot HP.
The Ruger Redhawk is now available in .45 Colt caliber, featuring a 4" barrel. The revolver has a triple-locking cylinder, fully adjustable white outline rear sight, red ramp front sight and a one-piece rubber Hogue Grip. The satin-finish stainless steel revolver measures 9 1/2" overall and weighs 46 oz.

Ruger’s M77 Hawkeye rifles, with LC6 Trigger, are now available in select calibers in a standard length, left-handed action. The ejection port, extractor, bolt handle and three-position manual safety are all located on the left side. They are available in .270 Win., .25-06 Rem., .30-06 Sprg., 7mm Rem. Mag. and .300 Win. Mag. A Hawkeye African in .375 Ruger is also available. All models feature American walnut stocks with cut checkering and hammer-forged barrels with a Hawkeye matte-blued finish.

DPMS Panther LR-338

 

DPMS’ newest hunting rifle is the Panther LR-338. Chambered in .338 Federal, the rifle features a lightweight, extruded A3-style upper receiver; a carbon-fiber, free-float tube; a fluted 18" chrome-moly heavy barrel; and slim-line compensator. The LR-338 has a milled 6061-T6 aluminum, semiautomatic lower receiver, two-stage trigger, internal trigger guard and an aluminum magazine release button. It weighs 7.9 lbs. and has an overall length of 39 1/4".

Additional features include a turned-down gas block; lightweight, skeletonized, A2 buttstock with trap door assembly; and a Hogue rubber pistol grip with finger grooves. Franchi introduces the I-12 Sporting lightweight semiauto shotgun. The 12-gauge inertia-driven shotgun features an elongated forcing cone and lightweight aluminum alloy receiver. The 30" barrel with tapered target rib uses extended choke tubes compatible with Crio chokes. The Twin Shock Absorber recoil-reducing system diminishes felt recoil up to 44 percent. The shotgun has a WeatherCoat walnut stock and measures 45 1/4" in length and weighs 7 lbs.

The I-12 Upland Hunter is also new from Franchi. It weighs 6.35 lbs. and has a 26" barrel with a ventilated rib and a choice of five choke tubes. The laser-checkered stock is made of A-grade walnut.

Marlin has added centerfire bolt-action rifles to its lineup. The first model, the XL7, is a standard long-action rifle available in three calibers: .30-06 Spg., .270 Win. and .25-06 Rem. Stock options are black synthetic and Realtree APG-HD camo.

The rifles feature the Pro-Fire accuracy-enhancing trigger, Soft-Tech recoil pad and a lightweight pillar-bedded synthetic stock. The Pro-Fire trigger can be set to break at 2 1/2 lbs. Sabre’s Competition Extreme 5.56mm is designed for close-quarter shots, with 45-degree rails mounted to a Sabre free-float hand guard. In its long-gun line, Smith & Wesson is adding a stainless version of the i-Bolt bolt-action rifle. The i-Bolt Stainless will be available in .25-06, .270 Win., .30-06 Win., 7mm Mag. and .300 Win. Mag. It features a box-style magazine and a Realtree AP synthetic stock.

Smith & Wesson also will debut three editions to its line of M&P tactical rifles chambered in 5.56mm/.223. The new Model M&P 15FT has a fixed stock, making it saleable in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey and New York. Also new is the M&P15OR (Optics Ready) and the M&P15X, which features a Troy Folding Battle Rear Sight, A2 Fixed Post front sight and a new Drop-In Tactical Rail Hand Guard.

The Off Duty in .45 ACP is built on a steel STI commander-sized frame with a stippled frontstrap and integrated tactical rails. It features rear-cocking serrations, oversized ejection port and an adjustable Novak-style white-dot rear sight. The barrel is a 3" fully supported ramped bull barrel and the pistol comes standard with a RecoilMaster guide rod system.

Also new from STI is the Rogue. Built on a forged aluminum “LS” sized frame with a stippled frontstrap, the Rogue 9mm has an overall length of 6 1/2" and weighs less than 20 oz. It has a 3" fully supported ramped modified cone barrel and comes standard with a RecoilMaster and LS-style hammer.

The STI SteelMaster is a shorter, lighter race pistol in 9mm. Built on a modular steel frame with polymer grip, the SteelMaster uses the Trubor compensated barrel to eliminate barrel misalignment. The slide is flat-topped with slide-lightening cuts and custom Sabertooth serrations. It is mounted with a C-More red-dot scope, and features STI’s Spur hammer, RecoilMaster guide rod and checkered frontstrap. Overall weight is 30 oz.

STI has added more available calibers and barrel lengths for the Texican single-action revolver. The Texican is now available in .45LC with a 4.75" or 6.5" barrel, and in .38 with a 5.25" barrel.

Para Super Hawg

 

The Para Super Hawgs, available in 1911 single-stack and Para High Capacity frames, feature 6" integral ramp match-grade barrels, Para’s exclusive Fiber Optic front sights and adjustable rear sights. Both models have a stainless steel, satin finish and the frontstraps are checkered 30 lines-per-inch. The single-stack model comes with two PXT eight-round magazines and double-diamond checkered Cocobolo stocks. The New PDA (Personal Defense Assistant) in 9mm Luger is designed to fit the widest range of hands. The compact pistol holds eight rounds and features a 3" match-grade, stainless steel integral ramped barrel and a fiber optic front sight. It measures 6.4" overall and weighs 24 oz.

Para is also introducing the PDA in .45 ACP. The lightweight, ultra-compact pistol features a sterling-finished stainless steel slide over a Covert Black Alloy frame, with a frontstrap checkered at 30 lines-per-inch. The pistol also has three-dot tritium night sights, weighs 24 oz. and is 6 1/2" long.

The Para 1911 Limited, built on a single-action frame, features an internal extractor with a claw that is 50-percent larger than the standard version; 5" stainless steel, match-grade barrel; match-grade hammers and triggers; ambidextrous safety and 30 lines-per-inch checkering on the frontstrap. The pistol is finished in Para’s sterling stainless steel.

Para continues its support of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) with two models in 2008. Para contributes a portion of the sale of each Gun Rights model to the NRA-ILA.

Uberti has reproduced the 1876 Rifle, originally introduced as the Winchester 1876 “Centennial Rifle.” Winchester called the big-caliber, lever-action the Centennial Rifle in commemoration of the United States’ 100th anniversary. Winchester discontinued production of the 1876 Rifle in 1898 after making 63,871 guns.

True to the original, the Uberti 1876 rifle is chambered in .45-60 caliber and future chamberings will include the .40-60, .45-75 and .50-95. The rifle has a 28" octagonal barrel, color-case hardened receiver and A-grade walnut for the straight stock and forend.
It is 48" long and weighs 10 lbs.

C.A.M.P. Technologies has introduced a new concept in wilderness camping with the Recreational Towed Vehicle (RTV) camping trailer. The camper includes an attached, heavy-duty tent/shelter, complete trail galley, propane stove, refrigerator, 3.5 KW electric generator, deep-cycle batteries, sink, water-pressure pump, lights and provisions for a sanitary system and shower.

The fully enclosed attached shelter has a patented Titanite geodesic support structure designed to withstand sub-zero to tropical/desert weather and wind conditions. The shelter will accommodate four adults with gear for extended wilderness outings. Two experienced people can set up or take down the RTV in about 15 minutes.

The RTV weighs less than 2,500 lbs., and is aerodynamically designed to tow easily. Campers can access the kitchen without erecting the shelter.

Crimson Trace introduces its first archery product, the LG-653 laser sight for BowTech and Diamond Archery bows. The LG-653 replaces the existing grip panels. A pressure-sensitive switch on the back of the grip activates the laser when the bow is drawn and turns off the laser when the arrow is released or the bow is returned to the ready position. The LG-653 is distributed exclusively by BowTech and Diamond Archery.

Crimson Trace introduces its first waterproof Lasergrips built to military specification MIL-STD-810F. The LG-402M, for the Beretta M9, updates an existing product, incorporating a one-piece wraparound grip with front activation, waterproof electrical components and more textured grip panels.

A new Lasergrips design for the Springfield XD encircles the polymer grip of the XD and is anchored by a locking piece that covers the beavertail. An activation pressure switch is built into the frontstrap. The LG-446 uses the smaller 3.3mm diameter laser diode to reduce the overall size of the housing. The new Lasergrip fits the full-size and compact XD in .40, 9mm, .357 SIG and .45 GAP. 

Crimson Trace is now shipping Lasergrips for several models of the Smith & Wesson M&P. The LG-660 fits the full-size M&P .40, 9mm, .357 SIG and .45 ACP.
