Aguila Ammunition’s Minishell shotshell has earned a Gold Award for its newly designed packaging at the Graphis Annual competition.
“Launching new packaging for the Minishell was our first priority after announcing our partnership with Shine United as Aguila’s agency of record,” said Kristi Drawe, marketing director at Texas Armament & Technology, the exclusive North American distributor for Aguila Ammunition. “Shine’s creative team has done an amazing job in creating packaging that showcases the shells’ unique identity.”
The Minishell packaging features a unique box shape, strong typography and bold colors that showcase the performance of the miniature shotshell rounds. The packaging is color-coded by shot type.
“You only have a few seconds to catch a consumer’s eye in the ammo aisle, so our goal was to create a package that had instant shelf appeal,” said John Krull, creative director at Shine United.
Over the past year, the 1.75-inch Minishell has caught the attention of shotgun shooters worldwide. Not only does the tiny shell pack a solid punch, but it also offers almost no recoil and only slight noise.
Graphis presents and promotes the work of exceptional talent in graphic design, advertising, photography and art/illustration, offering both a Gold Award and a Platinum Award to outstanding, select entries. The work of the award winners is also featured in a hardcover Annuals book, providing all winners with global exposure.
